Our little Angie is not doing well. She’s the Yorkie with only one kidney. Ten years old losing her eyesight and aging rapidly. For anyone who has ever owned a Yorkie you will understand how difficult it is to have one that isn’t well. Yorkshire Terriers are fighters and definitely one-owner dogs, loving the lucky person chosen to bond with unconditionally and possessively. Angie is my little angel there is no doubt about it and it hurts to see her deteriorate like this. She isn’t in pain and still loves to eat but it’s getting more difficult for her to move around with her lack of vision.

I cannot imagine a household without a pet. It’s the most gratifying and loyal a relationship you will ever have. Never being judged pressured or given ultimatums, just enthusiasm and love and always overjoyed to see you walk through the door. I’ve had better relationships with most of my pets over the years than I have with people. They never talk back or get mad. They are always affectionate and eager to cuddle up. What’s not to like about a loving furry little friend.

I had an amazing bird once named poco who used to sit on my shoulder while I worked and when he thought I had done enough he would crawl up and down my arm and peck at my ear and my index finger until I stopped working.

We can learn so much from animals if we are more observant with regard to how they live life. For those of you who do not have a pet consider adopting one of the many little critters in need of a good home, once you open your heart to the love that’s offered you’ll realize you just found your new best friend.

I was born 22,01,77 married to a woman born 18,01,79. I thought Aquarius and Gemini are supposed to be a good match. This is the most painful relationship for both of us. It goes from packing up leaving (Feb, 09) to ask to come back (May 09) to discussing a settlement (Oct 09) to now, coming back asking to give it another try.  Meanwhile I have come to the conclusion that it’s not going to work out but I’m hanging in there for my Libra daughter.
